Handsome Kooper

Kooper was with us for a short time.  He came to us at the end of June 2019.  Wiley's friend, Tate, came with us to intake for his first time ever.  He loved every minute it of it. Kooper's adoption date was 7/1/2020.  He is very spoiled and happy in his adoptive home.

Moonpie, take 2.

Moonpie.  God, I love this dog.  I am updating this blog almost a year later and the memories of this dog are awesome.  She did get adopted the same day as Delta, but unfortnuately, she was not happy with the other dog in the house so she came back to me.  That gave me a few extra weeks to love on her before she left her her perfect forever home.  She left for her forever home 6/21/2019.

Delta

Delta, the beautiful blue tick coonhound ended up with me when she was struggling to settle in with her first foster.  She was with us for almost a month and was an amazing dog.  Her adoption day was June 2nd, 2019.  This is one of the rare times Jacob and Wiley did not get an adoption picture as we were camping for the weekend and neighbor Debbie was caring for her for the weekend and brought her to the adoption event.  I made it there just in time to say good bye.

My sweet Moonpie!

  • Why do some dogs find their place in your heart before they even know you?  That was Moonpie for me.  It has taken me a while to post.  Moonpie has been in her home for a couple of months yet I have not even updated anything since she came.  Maybe, it was because I wanted to enjoy every single minute I was given with her. Moonpie was a true southern rescue.  We speculate about her past. It surely was not kind to her.  But she always moved forward. I simply love that precious face

Moonpie earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate at the Fond du Lac County Kennel Club AKC all bread show.  What a feat for both of us. She was with me only 6 days when we did this. I was very proud.

Moonpie was reunited with one of her puppies the day she arrived off of transport. He is twice her size but has the same love and enthusiasm for life as his mom.
